About the event

On March 2, an exhibition by GB de Zsitvaÿ, a Hungarian-born painter living in France, opens. Her compositions, created from everyday objects, go beyond their original function, evoking memories and emotions. The paintings are characterized by vibrant colors, dynamic brushwork, and rich surfaces, expressing movement, energy, and the senses.

GB de Zsitvaÿ is a Hungarian-born painter living in France, raised in Budapest in a family of artists. After completing his studies in Paris, he attended courses at the PORT ROYAL Academy of Painting, where post-impressionist traditions strongly shaped his artistic approach. In 2015, he was awarded the Academy’s Grand Prize for Painting. He is a regular participant in the ART CAPITAL exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris and has exhibited at the Salon d’Automne and with the Taylor Foundation. His works have been shown across Europe and in Japan, and are frequently featured in prestigious French exhibition spaces and historic venues.

Still… Life

GB de Zsitvaÿ builds his compositions from everyday objects that transcend their original function, evoking memories, creating atmosphere, and carrying both personal and universal meaning. Through his use of oil, charcoal, pastel, and acrylic, he gives these motifs a renewed presence and life. His works are defined by vibrant colors, rich surfaces, and dynamic brushwork; his painting speaks of movement, energy, and the awakening of the senses. Drawing inspiration from his travels, encounters, and an insatiable curiosity for the arts and gastronomy, his aim is to bring his art ever closer to us and to share the endless flavors of existence.
